Sun & Moon online — free, in your browser

Fill the grid with suns and moons. Each row and column ends up with as many of one as the other, no three of the same symbol may sit side by side, and the small signs between neighbours demand a matching pair or a mismatched one. Every board has a single solution.

How to play Sun & Moon

The same walkthrough the table opens with — you can replay it in the game at any time.

Welcome to Sun & Moon

Two symbols, one grid. Tap a square to cycle it: empty, sun, moon. The squares that came filled in are fixed.

Balance and spacing

Every row and every column has to end up with as many suns as moons, and three of the same symbol may never sit in a row.

Mind the signs

A pale `=` between two squares means they hold the same symbol. A gold `×` means they must differ. Those two signs are usually where a stuck board opens up.

That's it!

A square outlined in red breaks one of the rules as the board stands. Every puzzle has exactly one solution — no guessing required.
